Re: [epub] Questions about content
From: Gach98@aol.com

>>I agree with the idea of fresh content. I use one of
mine and one of another author. The problem I run into
in finding articles, are knowing if it is in fact a
newer one or if it has been seen by the masses already.
A lot of times there aren't dates on articles either
submitted to me, or those I go searching for. How do
you know?

Lastly: Is there a resource or newsgroup that anyone
could suggest that critiques newsletters/ezines?

Thanks,
Debbie<<

Hi, all,...

When most writers of articles start writing a new article, it's
usually because of something new they have discovered, or it's
written as an answer to an e-mail they have received, or they got
the idea from some other personal experience.

To think that writers have few new ideas of their own, that they
probably have to "steal" ideas from other writers, in most cases,
is pretty silly. Yes, some have stolen an article or an idea from
someone else, but, most writers get an idea, by seeing something at
a website, or maybe an idea came to them while they were driving
down the highway.

I get articles submitted to me on a regular basis and I read most of
them, to see if they would "fit" in my Newsletter, and with my readers.
Very few of them are alike. Very few of them cover the same topic
and fewer use the same words in their article titles.

Many articles are unique and very different from every other
article I receive in my e-mail box. I don't have to read their articles
to get ideas for MY articles. Ideas for my articles come from watching
TV,.. from reading magazines and one came from seeing a hitchhiker
at a freeway entrance ramp!

I have so many of my own ideas, there is little reason to steal from
anyone else. Yes, some DO steal from others, but, they are in the
minority. If you receive a new article from Kevin Nunley, be sure HE
has written that from his own experiences. Jim Daniels writes his
own articles, as does Bob Osgoodby, Pat Weber, Lee Horowitz,
Ed Simpson, Harmony Major, John Colanzi, Rick Beneteau,
Larry Dotson, Joe Reinbold, Kevin Sinclair, Simon Vause,
William Nabaza, Robert Fox, Bob LeDuc, Mark A. Smith,
Jeanie Swisher, Gary Lockwood and Gary Christensen,.. just to
name a few. None of them need to steal from anyone else.

Personally, I think my writing is better than others (.. just bragging!)
So, why would I steal from someone else,.. knowing that HIS writing
is of a lower grade than my own?? It makes no sense, for those of
us who write our own material, to stoop so low as to steal from
someone else.

Although this has been a great topic for discussion, it's foundation
in fact is thin to none. Honest writers do not need to steal ideas
from others. We've got plenty of our own Great ideas.

Publish the articles you receive from the writers listed above and
you will have no problems,.. you will be publishing quality material
from High-Quality writers and if you've just received a new article
from them, it probably hasn't been published anywhere else,... yet.
So, be the first, and get it into print quickly, before another Publisher
beats you to the punch.

One last note: Most of us on-line Publishers are readers, too.
We are subscribed to, and read lots of other Publications (e-zines
and web-zines) and I have very seldom seen a new article published
in more than 2 or 3 e-zines (out of the 2,000+ that are out there...)
... and, not everyone is subscribed to all the same e-zines. You need
not worry about the freshness of content from some of the writers
listed above.

If you wish original content, tell me the kind of articles you need,
what subjects you wish to see covered, and the length of the articles
you need, and I will send your "request for articles" to my list of 600+
writers on the Net. You will receive fresh articles from my list of
writers! Guaranteed!
