I fear you are right. I have noticed over the last month or so that I am 
receiving alot of subscribe requests that include an ad in the body of
the email.  But what really burns my biscuits is that most of these
particular subscribes end up being an autoresponder!

I don't mind doing the subscribes/unsubscribes by hand but eventually
if this little "tactic" picks up momentum it will get out of control and I 
will have to go to an automatic service instead of spending an hour a 
day doing it by hand.
