Bill,
         Don't you think you'll lose subscribers if you're not publishing 
regularly, and/or have more of a chance of people thinking you're spamming 
them because your newsletter shows up unexpectedly?

         Also, if you don't have a regular schedule & don't number your 
issues, you can't get an ISSN. (maybe you don't want one ---)

         I find having a schedule forces me to work when I'd rather blow it 
off.  Since I read all the books I review & write the whole newsletter 
myself (for better or worse), a set publishing schedule works for me.  And, 
because many of those reviews are reprinted by other web site/ezine owners, 
they're counting on me to get content to them when I promised. JMO.
