Re: [epub] Re: Guaranteed Minimum of 100 subscribers a month??
From: "Phenomenix" <phenomenix@phenomenix.com>

Yes, I do know another nice one, but so far it's not huge
numbers for me. Imaginationsunlimited.com. You pay $0.10 per
subscriber. When I first started out i was getting 25 to 30
per day. Now it's more like 5 per day or so. On the flip
side, though, they also help by offering advertising at
$2.50 CPM. The ad revenue goes as a credit toward your bill.
You also have a $100 debit limit. So far between ads and new
subscribers I'm only about $10 in the hole.

A further question I have with Bestnewsletters.com is this,
do they do the subscription automatically? If so i wonder
how. I'm on the egroups list server, which doesn't recognize
mail sent via a sendmail command in CGI script.
ImaginationsUnlimited *thought* they were subscribng
customers, when in fact they were sending SENDMAIL commands
which were being ignored. Turned out i had to subscribe the
perople myself using the daily report sent to me by IU. I've
sent a letter to bestnewsletters asking for info about this,
but so far no response.

Want to comment on the subject of Best Newsletters. Here is
a
direct quote from Wes regarding my account:
Wes said, "This is the number that decides whether we charge
you
each month.
As per our agreement, if we send you 100 or more, you will
be
billed
$15. If we send you less than 100, you pay nothing."
However, I was billed the $15.00 for the first month and
then
the above
guarantee goes into effect.
Since then, I have not been billed because I did not get 100
subscribers in
November and it doesn't look real promising for December.

On the other hand, I did join NewsletterforFree and I'm
pretty
satisfied
with their service. I get more subscribers. You can get
your
subscription
list daily, weekly, monthly. You pay $.10 per subscriber.
You'll get
a good many to begin with, but this will slack down as time
passes.
You have to agree to pay for a minimum of 3000 subscribers
over
this
time period, but if you pay by the month, this won't seem
like
much
over the long haul.

That's two subscription providers, does anyone know of any
more?
I'd like to hear from you.

Thanks,
