Dear E-pub list members:

Hi.

I'd like to offer something that might be helpful to 
members of the E-pub discussion list.

Recently, I've published an e-book on newsletter
publishing titled E-ZINE LAUNCH.  

It is a primer on e-zine publishing,
targeted at the newbie or non-expert e-publisher
and acts as a step-by-step guide to planning, 
creating and distributing an e-zine.  More 
experienced editors may find a few bits that help
too.

In my long 5 year-old Web journey, I have gained 
enormously from generous people in various online 
communities - E-Pub included.  E-ZINE LAUNCH is
my humble effort to try and give back to that 
community.  

The book is in Adobe PDF format and needs the Adobe
Acrobat reader to view; the file size is 
around 500 KB, and there are 141 pages.

Initially, it was my intention to distribute 
E-ZINE LAUNCH free of cost.  Two things made me 
decide against it:

1.  The perceived value of a *free* e-book is low

2.  I could raise some funds for my non-profit
organization that helps families with Congenital
Heart Defects.

In *real* life, I'm a heart surgeon specializing
in treating children with birth defects of the 
heart.  I have tried to use my Internet-related
skills to help extend support to families around
the globe who have been touched by the spectre of
CHD.

The CHD Help Line is a not-for-profit association
dedicated to improving life for CHD victims and
their families.  My website, HEART DISEASE ONLINE,
at http://www.drmani.com , is an extension of this
work.  

It has been funded entirely out of my pocket.  I
have shied away from seeking donations since I'm
not comfortable about * passing around a hat * asking
people to give generously of their wealth !  :)

Writing this e-book, E-ZINE LAUNCH, could serve
both purposes - giving back something of value
to the community that has helped me so much, and
also help fund the CHD Help Line project.

The proceeds from the sale of this book will be
used to further grow and develop the website
and add more functionality to our programs, like
the CHD-Support Discussion group - currently
hosted at

I have decided to price the book at $10.95.  But as
a special offer to members of E-pub, and a few other
lists that have helped me grow in experience and
knowledge, I'd like to offer a copy at a special
discounted price of $5.95 for a limited period of
