I'm not sure what you mean by "nightmare" I was on a host that had Front Page extensions, so I used them. Then, I moved to a host that did NOT. Ouch. Had to convert all my forms and counters, etc. However, the new host was great and except for the time cost, the conversion went reasonably painless. The new host had ready to go forms handlers, etc. I can see the advantage of having your own scripts. Hopefully they would be transportable, but maybe not. I still use Front Page. Not only to do the actual design work, but also to upload. Works fine. I am using the 98 version.
