RE: [epub] Solo ads: How do the subs react?
<<Those of you who run solo ads, how many do you run per week,
and do you think this has ever lead to unhappy readers?

Thanks for your help,
Chrisi Darrington

Hi All,

I have to say from my own experience that I quickly scan the solo ad
to see if it holds value for me or is relevant to what kind of work
I'm doing (like new search engines, marketing directories, etc.) and
if it is beneficial to me, I'll spend a little more time reading it.

I would have to say that as long as you stick with solo ads that have
relevance to your newsletter you shouldn't tick off too many readers.
For example, if we were to send out a solo ad to the people who
subscribe to our weekly marketing tip, shouldn't we stick with solo
ads that deal with marketing and promotion because we think that's
what they may be interested in?

I would be interested in hearing if anyone thinks it would be a good
idea to use solo ads that go in a total different direction than the
topic of your newsletter. If you have already done so, what were the
results from this mailing (unsubs, feedback)?

Best Wishes,
Sam Hendricks
