I registered a name and it did get registered in MY name! (Namezero retains
ownership). Their control centre will let you change technical contact. I
did not see a way of changing the administrative contact, but they have a
part where you fill in "alternative billing contact!!" Since I do not want
to be billed, I did not try to see if it is their way of saying that this is
the place for administrative contact changes. They have in the control
centre "URL Redirection" and "URL FRame" which are rather nice features. 
When I do some more research, I will let you all know.  They also quite
openly tell you that you can transfer out if you wish (probably at the end
of the year).
