This is the response I got when I sent a note to Worldwidelists.com about

has gone to extreme measures to prevent "Pay to Surf"
e-mail programs such as "themail.com" and others. When
users try to subscribe to your newsletter using e-mail
addresses containing these "black listed" domains [i.e.,
themail.com] they are denied subscription. This way, we
guarantee to pass along only decent and verifiable
subscribers."

The reply was from:

Hope this helps to soothe the panic I have been seeing here about this
issue.
HOWEVER-  If there is more to this please let me know.  This my first
attempt at paying for subscribers and I would hate to find out that I have
been taken for a ride with bogus subscribers.

I get over 100 subscribers per week-due in part from tips learned from this
board.

I would like to increase that to 200... Any more tips?
