One cool thing about eGroups (and Topica?) is that the Web interface
will allow you to see your message in a true ASCII text format. If an
email message sent to an eGroups list contains HTML code,
quoted-printable formatting, or other weird formatting problems, you
can edit these out via the eGroups Web interface before you approve
the message. You can even edit header information, which is useful
if you're trying to send HTML messages through an eGroups list.

Most of you probably know that I'm a huge fan of Lyris for sending
well-formatted ezine messages, whether they're plain text or HTML
format. Lyris, however, usually isn't free, and I'm (almost) convinced
that most of its functionality can't be replicated with free solutions.
(I would love to be proven wrong.)
