What we do is compile all the bounces and check them against the bounces 
from the previous week.  If we have a bounce that has been returned three 
weeks in a row we delete the address.  
Usually free accounts become inactive because the user stops checking 
their email and their box is full.  Three weeks is enough time for them 
to return and clean out their box, if it's not done in that amount of 
time we delete them.  By doing this on a regular basis it makes the 
process pretty easy and insures that our circulation quotes to 
advertisers are accurate.  So I would probably delete that address at 
this point.
