EPUB Archives [Thread Prev][Thread Next][Thread][epub] Re: ezine ads & list managers, misc
Hi Denise, I am a member who usually sits in the backround and only speak up when I can really help someone. I will answer your questions in this format because it's easier then retyping it again. -------Original Message------- >Anyway, I have a couple of questions as I get back into the ezine world. You can usually go by the standard rate which increases as the subscriber base increases. Check by looking at a few ezines sub count and what they charge, you'll get a pretty good idea. >Where are the best places/ways to find ezines that target the same market? http://www.ezinelocator.com http://www.directoryofezines.com There are many more ezine directories out there, just do a search on Google with the term "ezine directories". Use the quote symbols any time you do a search on more then one word. >Are there other more effective ways to get the word out there, besides >promoting in my own ezine and posting at teleclass web sites? You can make JV's and ad swaps with other relevant e-zines and web sites. Ask them for a link exchange, it will increase your chance of being picked up by the search engines spiders. Print up business cards and hand them out everywhere you go and to whom ever you do business with. There are also many networking web sites and communities that you could join and spread the word about a great product or service. Try this one, I belong to it and you couldn't get better PR for free! http://www.ryze.com/?a=Jax >Second question - I signed up with my current host because it seemed to have >one of the best mailing list features. It was working for awhile and now there seems to be a glitch. When >someone subscribes now, I get confirmation yet their name does not appear on the >list. Tech support is now telling me that there is some problem with the >configuration of the form (which I have no idea what they are talking about) If you are receiving confirmations without the name then it sounds to me that your autoresponder isn't set right. Check and see if the box is checked for a mandatory name entry in the subscription autoresponder. If in fact it is your subscription form html pointing to the wrong mailbox, it can be corrected fairly easy. How long is your web master going to be gone? If you would like I can help you out. Yes for free. I hope I helped answer some of your questions, if you want to contact me, please feel free. I'm here to help. Your Friend and partner in Success.
