Okay, this is getting more and more smelly.

Here's a possible scenario for you: they purchased this domain name and got 
a cease and desist letter from Kendall informing them that she had been 
using "Weekly Marketing Wisdom" as the name of her newsletter for years and 
had a common law trademark interest in it (which you get when you use such 
a name or logo in interstate commerce). They got mad and started looking 
for her articles around the 'net and emailing people bogus IP claims such 
as Dianne got.

Might be pure fiction, but then again ...
