I'm in the process of looking again.  And my Ezine hosting
choices article will be updated, too.  ;) 



How high of a factor does Email Deliverability factor in?

Yes. I want to know that my mail has been delivered.
No.  I'd drive myself crazy looking for 100% in today's filtered
climate. 



How high does ease of use for the non-techie factor in?

Because I teach newbie's classes, I especially look to find
program for them to use that are easy - i.e. that have HTML
templates.  Overall, I find that templates are what others are
looking for, too. Even newsletter publishers, copy writers and
others who make some of their living creating ezines. 



How high does self service tools vs. full service human support
factor in?

I like to know that I can talk to a human, when I need to.  I
want it to be an option.  However, because I've been around
ezines for a while, it's not mandatory.

I find that most other biz owners want a phone number - even long
distance is OK. 

After a phone number - online chat ability is good. 



Would you take an easy to use interface over poor deliverability?

No 



Would you tolerate a poor interface to achieve excellent
deliveries?


Personally, I would, (and am right now) but I'm a geek and've
been around a while.

Price plays a part here, too.  For example, I run a bunch of
lists, for all different purposes.  Would be very expensive each
month to pay $15 per list.  So for now, using something like DADA
- a relatively inexpensive system, is AOK for me. 

However, as I look to upgrade my hosting service.  Here is the
perfection that I'm looking for:  an eCommerce package (Ezine and
auto responder).  That is offered at a fair price, for multi
ezines/lists.  With an easy to use control panel that makes it
easy to create HTML templates and emails.  All with a company who
does it's best to deliver my mail.
